Charity session in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charities

On Sunday the 28th June 2015 Georgia McCarthy, Physiotherapy colleague, ran a Pilates Charity session in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charities which is an independent charity providing free ‘home away from home accommodation’ for families with children in hospital.

This is a fantastic charity providing a home from home on site of the St Georges Hospital Tooting.

One of my little clients, William, who’s mum Dawn I met at Georgia’s post-natal Pilates classes in Godalming, has complex needs and has spent most of his very young life in St Georges Intensive Care Unit. William’s family has spent months living at the Ronald McDonald House whilst William has been on intensive care awaiting a diagnosis.

The Pilates class was for 1 hour with an 80s theme which was lots of fun! Approximately £300 was raised thanks to Georgia’s initiative.

Dawn also has a justgiving page where anyone are welcome to donate and read more about the charity.
